Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 16, 2026
Law Offices of Burg & Brock, operating this website as UberLawyer.com ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit uberlawyer.com (the "Site"), contact us, submit a form, or otherwise interact with us online. It also describes the choices and rights available to California residents under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
A. Information you provide directly
- Contact details such as your first name, last name, email address, and phone number;
- The content of any message you submit through our contact or case-evaluation forms or our live chat window;
- Any other information you choose to include, such as details about an incident you describe to us.
B. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and browser data, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;
- Usage data, including pages viewed, time on page, clicks, and referring or exit pages;
- Approximate location derived from your IP address;
- How you interact with pages, such as mouse movements, clicks and scrolling, recorded as session replays and heatmaps;
- When you call a phone number shown on the Site, call details such as your phone number, the time and length of the call, and the page or ad that led to the call;
- Information gathered through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 10).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
- Evaluate and improve the Site's performance, usability, and content;
- Monitor and protect the security and integrity of the Site;
- Analyze traffic and engagement using analytics tools;
- Understand how visitors find us through form, call and campaign attribution;
- Measure the results of our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited the Site;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
3. Tools and Service Providers We Use
We use the following vendors to operate the Site, respond to you, and measure and improve our marketing. Some of them set cookies or similar technologies; the categories they belong to are described in Section 10.
- Google Tag Manager (Google LLC). Loads the analytics and advertising tags listed below.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). Measures how visitors use the Site, such as pages viewed, time on page and device type.
- Google Ads (Google LLC). Measures whether our ads lead to calls or form submissions and lets us show ads to people who have visited the Site.
- CallTrackingMetrics. Shows trackable phone numbers on the Site and records call details, so we can see which pages and ads lead to calls.
- HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.). Its tracking code records visits and form activity, and its advertising tools measure and target our ads on other platforms.
- Intaker. Provides the live chat window. Messages and contact details you enter in the chat are collected and sent to our intake team.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation). We work with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to see how you use and interact with the Site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps and session replay, to improve the Site and our services. This data is collected with first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Delivers the Site through its network, protects it against attacks, and runs Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot.
- Contact and case-evaluation forms. When you submit a form, the information you provide is delivered to our intake team through the systems of the marketing agency that operates the Site for us.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels from Google Ads, HubSpot and Microsoft may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. Section 9 explains how to opt out.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- To service providers that process data on our behalf, such as the analytics, call tracking, chat, hosting and security vendors listed in Section 3;
- To advertising partners (Google, HubSpot and Microsoft), through the cookies and pixels described in Section 3, so they can measure and target our ads;
- For legal reasons, including to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights and safety;
- In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is no industry-standard response to DNT signals, so the Site does not currently respond to them. You can still control tracking through the cookie and browser choices described in Section 10.
6. Third-Party Tracking Across Sites
Third parties, including our analytics and advertising providers (Google, HubSpot and Microsoft), may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site. These providers may use that information under their own privacy policies, including to show you ads on other websites. You can limit this through the cookie choices described in Section 10.
7. Attorney–Client Relationship and Confidentiality Notice
Using this Site or contacting us through it does not create an attorney–client relationship. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information through online forms unless and until an attorney–client relationship has been formally established.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations.
9. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA, subject to certain exceptions:
- Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page and turn off Marketing cookies, or contact us as described in Section 15;
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To submit a request, contact us using the information in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where the law permits.
10. Cookies and Tracking Controls
Optional cookies are on when you first visit the Site. A cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category, and Marketing cookies stay off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. The categories are:
- Strictly necessary: needed for the Site to work, such as security, bot protection on forms and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: help us understand how the Site is used (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).
- Marketing: measure and target our advertising, including on other websites (Google Ads, HubSpot and call tracking).
- Functional: enable features such as the live chat window.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No website or transmission, however, can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. External Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the updated Policy.
