According to LAPD investigators, the first collision occurred around 12:05 a.m. on Van Nuys Boulevard, when a Tesla Model Y traveling southbound struck a man who was lying in the roadway. Instead of stopping to help, the driver allegedly fled the scene.

LAPD Investigating Another Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in Arleta
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a second deadly hit-and-run accident that occurred early Sunday morning in the Arleta neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley.
According to an LAPD news release, the collision happened around 5:30 a.m. near Arleta Avenue and Wentworth Street. A 57-year-old Arleta man was reportedly walking along the roadway when he was struck by a silver 2007–2008 Honda Civic traveling north on Arleta Avenue.
Police said the driver did not stop to identify themselves or provide aid, as required under California law. The vehicle was last seen continuing northbound on Arleta Avenue.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the drivers involved in either of these accidents, part of the City of Los Angeles’ ongoing effort to address its rise in deadly hit-and-run collisions. (Source)
